Mediterranean mezze is as much about good food as it is about a gathering of close friends and family. Similar to tapas, mezze is a collection of small plates that are shared. Mezzes are associated with Levant countries (Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan).
What I love about mezze is the community. It’s all about sharing good food and making memories with the people you care about. Classic dishes like tabbouleh, hummus, Turkish grape leaves, and Lebanese baklawa are always on the table, but I also love throwing in Moroccan zaalouk—a smoky eggplant dish that adds something extra to the spread.
On this page, you’ll find my favorite Arabic mezze recipes. Divide the cooking up with your friends and family around a large, long table and enjoy a great night filled with love and memories.
