Easy Air Fryer Frozen Brussels Sprouts
Ready for a quick snack or easy side dish? Open a bag of frozen sprouts and pop them into the air fryer. Okay, there are a couple more steps, but not many. When the sprouts are done, you will have a crispy layer on the outside and soft steamed sprouts on the inside.

- Healthy side dish for dinner that is full of flavor
- Loads of flavor using simple ingredients
- Dress up the flavor according to the glaze or dipping sauce
Air Fryer Models
Air fryers have easily become the kitchen appliance without which I cannot live. Thanks to air circulation, vegetables are easily cooked, healthier, and have a perfect texture. There are many different models available now. I have both a small and a large model. The small size works great if you make a few Brussels sprouts for one person. For more than one person, you will want a larger-sized model.
Ingredients
- Frozen Brussels Sprouts
- Olive oil or avocado oil
- Salt
- Garlic powder (optional)
Frozen Brussels Sprouts Recipe
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.
While the air fryer is preheating, toss the frozen brussel sprouts in olive oil, salt, and garlic powder (optional) in a mixing bowl, ensuring evenly coating.
Tip: If using the whole bag, add olive oil and salt. Then shake. Will save you a bowl to clean.
Spread the frozen Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 18-20- minutes, shaking the basket halfway. The sprouts are ready when they have a golden brown crispy layer on the outside, and they are soft on the inside.

Dipping Sauce Suggestions
For a casual feel, try serving air-fried dipping sauce on the side. Dipping sauces are usually thicker than a glaze. A few of my favorite sauces include:
- Baja Sauce
- Greek Tzatziki
- Honey Mustard Sauce
- Spicy Sraiachi Aioli
- Tahini Lemon Sauce
Frequently Asked Questions
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Place them in a preheated air fryer for 2-3 minutes to reheat.
During freezing, water inside the Brussels sprouts forms ice crystals. These ice crystals can damage the cell walls and structure of the vegetable, which can contribute to a softer texture when they are later cooked.
