How to Make Pizza Dough from Scratch

A step-by-step guide to making delicious, homemade pizza dough

Three Things  to Love

Ingredients

– Warm water – Instant yeast      (1 packet) – White sugar – Olive oil – Table or Se Salt – All-purpose flour – Garlic powder

Step 1:  Activate  Yeast

– Whisk together warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large bowl. – Let stand for 7-10 minutes or until foamy.

Step 2:  Make the Dough

Add olive oil and salt. Gradually add flour until a dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes or until smooth.

Step 3:  First rise

Place the dough in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a towel for 60-90 minutes or until doubled.

Step 4:  Shape and  Second Rise

Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Shape it into a 12-inch circle. Let rise for 15 minutes.

Step 5:  Top and Bake

Add Sauce and op with your favorite toppings. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
