Combine the old fashioned oats and crushed almonds in a large mixing bowl.

Melt coconut oil.  Whisk in maple syrup, vanilla, cocoa powder,  sugar, and  salt.

MIX WET INGREDIENTS

Pour the coconut oil mixture over the oat mixture, stirring until all ingredients are evenly coated.

Spread the granola evenly in a single layer on the parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing down with a spatula to create clusters.

Bake for 50 minutes at 200f, rotating the pan halfway through ensuring even baking.

In the final five minutes, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and bake for 5 minutes.

Allow the granola to fully cool to room temperature, and then mix in the freeze-dried strawberries.
